Here we have a pack of 24 cans of Asahi, Japan's most popular beer, first introduced in 1987. Asahi means "Rising Sun", and the lager is brewed with rice so it's rather clean and cereal forward. Though it was specially designed to be paired with Japanese food, the crisp brew manages to accompany any cuisine rather well. Cereal forward with white bread and sweet rice, with a herby touch and hints of apple, with a hoppy, dry finish.
