Situated 500 meters away from Chateau Petrus in a vineyard of 25 hectares area, The Chateau Moncets estate was founded in 1770. The wine bears the name of General de Moncets who bought it in 1872. Today the estate is part of the independent winemakers. The Domaine is undergoing organic conversion since 2017 and looking to increase the biodiversity of the estate wherever possible. The winemaking has been supervised under the famous French oenologist Michel Rolland since 2012.
